Hunter education classes are now being offered August 18, 20, and 22nd, and October 13, 15, and 17th. Anyone born after July 1, 1957 must complete a 10 hour course in hunter education before purchasing a license in Kansas. Classes are being offered at Pitt State in Grubbs Hall, room 109. No pre-registration is necessary. No cost, books are provided. Sponsored by SEK Chapter of Quail Unlimited, Pittsburg State University, and Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks.
You must be 11 years of age or older to be certified. Youth 15 years of age and younger can now hunt without certification, provided they hunt under the direct supervision of an adult 18 years of age or older. Parent(s) are encouraged to attend. All children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
