    Retired City Employees


    Retired City Employees Group will have a luncheon meeting at 11:15 a.m. at the Corner Bistro.

    All retired city employees and their spouse or friend may attend.

    Retired City Employees
    Retired City Employees Group will have a luncheon meeting at 11:15 a.m. at the Corner Bistro.
    All retired city employees and their spouse or friend may attend.
    Friday Study Club
    Friday Study Club will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. at the  Crestwood Country Club.
    Program will be an introduction to Tai Chi by grandmaster Jerry Steffenhagen, assisted by his wife. Tai Chi is a form of ancient Chinese martial arts. World Tai Chi Day will be celebrated April 27, with a local observance at Lincoln Park.
    A business meeting will follow, led by president Nanette Krumsick. Hostesses will be Frances Ales, Diana Kerle and Laura Carlson.
    Senior Citizens
    Pittsburg Senior Citizens Club will meet at 1 p.m. for a business session and bingo. April birthdays will be celebrated with cake and ice cream.
    Anyone needing additional information about the club may call the Pittsburg Parks and Recreation Department at 231-8310.
    Ribs  for Rec
    ARMA — Barbecued ribs, pulled pork, brisket and sausage will be sold from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Arma Market, with all proceeds going toward Arma Recreation.
    Bingo canceled
    Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 will not have bingo night because of the Kansas American Legion Third District Convention.
    Legion convention
    Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 will host the Kansas American Legion Third District Convention Friday through Sunday at the post home, 2815 N. Joplin.
    All legion members may attend. Star party will be held Friday, with registration at 4:30 p.m., social hour at 5 p.m. and the star party at 6:30 p.m.
