Paxton J. Powers, formerly of Pittsburg, recently completed one of the United States Army’s most rigorous training programs and has been awarded the Military Occupation Specialty as weapons sergeant, welcomed into the regiment as a Green Beret and promoted to the rank of sergeant E5.

A 2006 Pittsburg High School graduate, he and his wife, the former Charlotte Bray, a 2005 PHS graduate, have been living in Fayetteville, N.C. They will move to Fort Campbell, Ky., for his next assignment as a Green Beret.
