    ARMA — Annual Arma Christmas parade will be held at 6:30 p.m. Line-up will be at 6 p.m. at the Arma City Hall, then proceed west on Washington Street to the Northeast Elementary School.

    ARMA — Annual Arma Christmas parade will be held at 6:30 p.m. Line-up will be at 6 p.m. at the Arma City Hall, then proceed west on Washington Street to the Northeast Elementary School.
    Santa Claus will be at the school to visit with youngsters.
    AARP board
    Crawford County AARP Chapter 646 board of directors and committee chairmen will meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Homer Cole Community Center to plan December programs and conduct other business.
    Martha Roberts, president, will preside.
    Weir senior citizens
    WEIR — Weir Senior Citizens will meet for lunch and a Christmas party from noon to 2 p.m. at the Weir Senior Citizens Center, 108 N. Lincoln.
    Ham, beverages and table service will be provided. Those attending should bring a side dish or dessert. There will also be a $5 gift exchange. Men should bring a gift for a man, and women should bring a gift for a woman.
    All those 50 and older may attend. Blood pressure and blood glucose checks will be done from 11 a.m. to noon.
    UCT
    United Commercial Travelers of America will have a monthly meeting at 4 p.m. at Applebee’s Restaurant.
    Santa Paws
    Santa Paws, sponsored by the Southeast Kansas Humane Society, will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at Meadowbrook Mall.
    Santa Claus will be available for photos with dogs. No appointments are necessary, and photos will be taken by Shields Photography on a first-come basis.
    Cost will be $15, and $2 for each additional dog. Pet owners will receive a five-by-seven-inch photo and four billfold pictures within a few minutes. Half the proceeds will go to the SEK Humane  Society to support homeless animals at the society’s shelter.
    All dogs must be on leashes and under the control of their owner. Dogs should be walked before they are brought into the mall. This session is for dogs only, and cats should not be brought.
    ‘Star of Bethlehem’
    Grace Place will present the movie “The Star of Bethlehem” at 7 p.m. at the Homer Cole Community Center.
    The Christian documentary uses modern technology and science in a study of the star followed by the Three Wise Men to the infant Jesus in Bethlehem.
    There will be no admission cost  and popcorn will be served. Anyone needing additional information may call the center at 231-9773.
    Timmons concert
    Pittsburg State University music students and faculty will perform in the annual Timmons Chapel holiday concert at 7:30 p.m.
    Part of the program will feature Christmas music, and the PSU String Ensemble will lperform works ranging from Corelli to Bach.
    Page 2 of 2 - The concert, which will be repeated at 7:30 p.m. Friday, will be open free to the entire community.
    Chicopee card games
    Card games will be played from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. every Wednesday, except holidays, at the Chicopee Community Center.
    All card games are welcome. Bridge players do not need to bring a partner, since the game is set up so that everyone plays, even when there is an odd number of players.
    Weight Watchers
    Weight Watchers will meet every Wednesday at the Homer Cole Community Center. Weigh-in starts at 5 p.m., followed by the meeting at 5:30 p.m.
