  • Postseason honors for Pittsburg State football players continue with four All-America selections from the Don Hansen Football Committee released Friday.
    Junior wide receiver-return man John Brown received a first team nod as an all-purpose back (first team offense) and a return specialist (first team defense), plus recognition as the Division II Special Teams Player of the Year. Brown, Pitt State’s all-time leading receiver, finished 2012 with 2,000 all-purpose yards.
    Junior linebacker Nate Dreiling made second team and with his All-America selections this offseason, he becomes only the seventh three-time All-American in program history.
    Dreiling ranks No. 3 on the career tackles list at Pitt State, trailing only Josh Lattimer and the all-time leader Chris Brown.
    Junior offensive tackle Cody Holland and senior defensive end Gus Toca both received honorable mention selections.
    Harlon Hill winner Zach Zulli (national leader in TD passes) earned Offensive Player of the Year and Fort Valley State linebacker Leron Furr took Defensive Player of the Year. Glenville State running back Rahmann Lee won Freshman of the Year.
