Dear Editor
On July 26, I traveled Joplin street on my way to the store. I was surprised to see they had started to put up traffic lights at the intersection of Joplin and 23rd St.  When did they decide to do that and where did that money come from. They say the city is tight with their money. They managed to put up traffic lights at rouse and ford real fast for the college kids. I called before school was out to see when they were going to finish putting the turn lights at 4th and Rouse. They told me they were waiting for the state to finish their project. How long does it take? Looks like its finished. Lines painted, side walks in and grass planted. Why no turn lights?
Don’t our school children count. There has been more wrecks then before. You’d think that would be their number one project before school starts again. Come on City Manager, Commissioners and mayor. Stop! Think! Finish the old projects before starting another.
Thanks,
Phoebe Holliday
