The Frontenac High School wrestling program, in its first year, has competed in three JV tournaments so far in the 2010-11 season.

At the Dec. 4 season-opening Neosho tournament, Tanner Craig finished first, Cody Lindbloom took home second and Brett Roedel finished third, in their respective weight divisions.

Craig and teammate Trace Baldwin finished third at the Dec. 11 Coffeyville tournament and Jesse Davis came in fourth place.

Frontenac wrestlers combined for a 24-8 record at the Cherryvale tournament, the last tournament of the pre-Christmas schedule.

Baldwin, Craig, Christian Sharp, Chase Turner and Nick Kosman all finished first in their respective divisions and Lindbloom brought home second place.

Roedel, Kosman, Lindbloom, Austin Grotheer, Jake Christman, Turner, Baldwin and Craig are charting new territory at Frontenac High School as grapplers during the first year of the wrestling program. The boys are coached by Keith Aikin and resume their season Jan. 8 in Seneca, Mo.
