James Lee Pender and Rosemary Elaine Prichard were united in Holy Matrimony at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in Scammon, KS on December 28, 1968. They were blessed with three children: Jenifer Elaine Yuza and Mike of Wichita, KS; James Robert "Rob" of Dallas, Texas; and Erin Elizabeth of Wichita. Grandchildren, Derek Michael and Hayden Elizabeth Yuza are the joy of their Big Papa’s and Big Grandma’s lives. Jim is the son of the late James L. and Louise Pender of Autumn Place in Columbus. Rosemary is the daughter of the late Wilbur "Rex" and Angeline Prichard of Autumn Place. The couple has resided in McCune their entire marriage. Jim worked for Westar for 29 years before retiring in 2001. He is now semi-retired and is employed by Bill Trotnic Lumber and construction in Oswego. Rosemary taught and coached for 32 years for USD 247. She retired from that position in 2004 and has since been re-employed by the same district as a Title 1 at-risk-tutor. Both Jim and Rosemary enjoy golfing with their friends and traveling, especially cruising with Value Vacations (M&M Club) out of Frontenac. To celebrate this occasion, the couple is planning a cruise to Alaska with friends sometime next summer.
