  • Early Halloween morning, two Pittsburg residents received a trick instead of a treat at the hands of Pittsburg Police. The police conducted a drug search warrant, and arrested the two people at the home.

  • Early Halloween morning, two Pittsburg residents received a trick instead of a treat at the hands of Pittsburg Police. The police conducted a drug search warrant, and arrested the two people at the home.
    Just after 9 a.m. on Monday, the Crawford County Drug Task Force conducted the drug search warrant at 505 W. 1st St. in Pittsburg. During the search, police found 53 pounds of marijuana, about $18,000 in cash, a firearm and drug paraphernalia.
    Ryan Michael O’Malley, 24, and Alexandria Rose Pierce, 22, were arrested at the scene on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of felony drug paraphernalia, no drug tax stamp and possession of misdemeanor drug paraphernalia.
    The investigation is ongoing by the Crawford County Drug Task Force — which consists of the Pittsburg Police, Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and Pittsburg State University Police — and the Kansas Bureau of Investigations Southeast Kansas Drug Enforcement Task Force.
