I have empathy for Republicans. They are trying to lead, a president who won't follow and a Democratic Congress who won't listen. They are concerned that the Supreme Court will include a woman that dislikes white men and media that likes a black man. I think those of us who haven’t ,should  register as  Republicans  to pick up their spirits.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  There is good news. They have been able to keep a comedian, Al Franken, out of the Senate for almost 8 months, keeping  Democrats from the magical 60 votes necessary to prevent a  filibuster. They have forced President Obama to say the C word, Condemn, regarding violence in Iran. Now, darn the luck, a Senator from Nevada “crapped out” and a Governor from South Carolina  “lost his way”. If it was good enough for Newt, what's the big deal? Wives of guys like these must cover their ears whenever their husbands approach a microphone. You know, out of the mouths of babes. Maybe babes is a poor choice of words. The Senator probably was exposed to far too many, faithfully challenged, colleagues. The Governor inexplicably disappeared and then returned from Argentina. Never having been in South Carolina, I don't know how reliable their road signs are.

Democrats aren’t immune to impropriety. I recall a president a few years ago and more recently a candidate for president having indiscretions. As a Senate watcher, I find it comprised of those having affairs and those too old for them.
