David Michael Dawson was one of 235 medical students who received the doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in commencement ceremonies May 16 in Kansas City, Mo.
He is the son of Joyce and James Dawson, Pittsburg. A 1999 Pittsburg High School graduate, he earned a bachelor of science in biology in 2004 from Pittsburg State University.
Dr. Dawson will complete postdoctoral training in internal medicine at Freeman Healthy System, Joplin.
Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences’ College of Osteopathic Medicine is a fully accredited, private university of medicine. Founded in 1916, it is the oldest medical school in Kansas City and the largest in Missouri.
