Tickets are now on sale for the 13th annual Horses of Hope country Christmas dinner theater, to be held Dec. 3, 4, 10 and 11 at the organization’s indoor heated arena  just south of Columbus.

Tickets are now on sale for the 13th annual Horses of Hope country Christmas dinner theater, to be held Dec. 3, 4, 10 and 11 at the organization’s indoor heated arena  just south of Columbus.

Activities will begin with a social hour from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. with hot apple cider, homemade cookies and live music.
The Duling Band, Girard, will perform Dec. 3 and 4. Dalton James Windsor, Pittsburg, will play Dec. 10, and Treiber and Robinson, also of Pittsburg, will perform Dec. 11.

In addition, there will be a silent auction each night. Featured will be gift items for all ages.

A traditional country holiday dinner, catered by top area chefs, will begin at 6:30 p.m. Dinner and dessert will be followed by a live auction. The production, “It All Happened in the Country,” will begin around 7:45 p.m. The musical, created by Christian writing team Dennis and Nan Allen, Nashville, Tenn., will feature a cast of children and adults from southeast Kansas and southwest Missouri.

The country Christmas dinner theater is the largest annual fundraising event for Horses of Hope, a not-for-profit organization that provides therapeutic riding services to physically improve, spiritually enhance and emotionally empower its clients.

Tickets are $35 per person, with children under 5 admitted free. Tables of eight can be purchased for $240.

They may be purchased with cash, check or credit cards.
