The following is a list of area parties and dances.

Franklin Community Center, 701 S. Broadway, Franklin
The event will include polka music and dance with father/son duo John and John Ziebert from 8 p.m. to midnight. The event is BYOB, and will include party favors, a champagne toast. Guests are encouraged to bring snacks, and there will be soda and beer for sale.
Admission is $10 per person, and coffee and donuts will be served after midnight.

Mirza Shrine, 110 W. 5th
The Mirza Club New Year’s Eve party, will include a rigatoni dinner, live DJs with a Blues Brothers theme, and a dance from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
Doors open at 5 p.m. and dinner starts at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $20 in advance, and $25 at door. The party is BYOB, and a shuttle is available to and from the Shrine Center for guests who are staying at the Lamplighter Inn.

Parrot Bey, 408 N. Locust
The Parrot Bey party will feature live music from Area 51, as well as comedian Gene Renfro, from Chicago.
The dinner and party will include a brisket and chicken buffet, a full cash bar, party favors, a champagne toast at midnight, and coffee and dessert bar until closing time. Dinner is from 6 to 8 p.m., and music starts at 8:15.
Admission is $25 per person with dinner, or $10 after 8 p.m.
Limousine rides home are available for guests if needed.
Hopefully have a pretty fun time, just a nice relaxed, people can come and have a good time

5th Street Bar & Grill, 111 W. 5th
The party will feature live classic rock and blues from Jeff Sandness and The Normal Street Band, as well as a dinner special: Two guests for $25, including an appetizer, two entrees and dessert. Dinner is all night, and the music starts at 9:30 p.m. For just the concert, tickets are $7 for singles, and $10 per couple. There will be a champagne toast at midnight. Specials include $10 buckets of beer and double vodka mixers for $4.
The party is first come, first served.

Listen to live country and classic rock from Predator and enjoy drink specials all night. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the band takes the stage at 9 p.m.

American Legion Post 64, 2815 N. Joplin
The Legion will have a dance from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. featuring live music from Pure Cotton. The party will feature a champagne toast, party favors, a full bar with liquor and beer.
Breakfast starts after midnight and includes biscuits and gravy and black eyed peas.
Admission is $15 per person and covers everything but drinks.

Skateway, 2719 N. Joplin
Skateway will be open from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tickets for the rinks 29th NYE celebration are $15 and include roller-skates for the entire evening, a prize-filled balloon drop at midnight, and ticket giveaways for free passes and skates. There will be party favors at midnight. Kids age 17-and-under need parental permission to leave early.
There will be a concession and food bar with pizza, candy, burritos and popcorn.

Will add a pound of king crab legs to any entree for $25. Normal business hours.

• Mooreman’s South Side, 505 and McCarthy’s Pub will operate during normal business hours. 505 will have karaoke.
• PACT buses will not operate in New Year’s Eve.
