The Jake Gobl Memorial Award recognizes a Girard Youth Football sixth grader for excellence in sportsmanship, dedication, discipline and respect of coaches and teammates.

Lallemand, the son of Ron and Cindy Lallemand, knew Gobl in elementary school; when Lallemand was in the first grade and Gobl in the fifth grade, they paired as reading partners.
