    AARP Chapter 646


    Southeast Crawford County AARP Chapter 646 will meet at the Homer Cole Community  Center.

    AARP Chapter 646
    Southeast Crawford County AARP Chapter 646 will meet at the Homer Cole Community  Center.
    Program will be a Veterans Day celebration presented by Bill Wilson.
    All veterans may attend. A donation will be taken for Wesley House. AARP meetings are always open to the public.
    Frontenac Rotary
    Frontenac Rotary Club will meet at noon at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Frontenac. Program will be presented by Bob Burke from the Community Health Center.
    He is a member of the Pittsburg Rotary Club. Jen White, Rotarian of the day, will present the Rotary Minute. Paul Mendicki will be greeter, and A.J. Menghini will serve as sergeant at arms. Lunch menu will feature meatloaf.
    Laureate Alpha Chi
    Laureate Alpha Chi Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi, will meet at 11 a.m. at the Corner Bistro.
    Liberal Ladies
    Liberal Ladies Who Lunch will meet at noon at the Pittsburg Public Library.
    Those attending should bring their own lunch and issues they would like to discuss.
    Weir Seniors
    WEIR — Weir Senior Citizens will meet from noon to 2 p.m. at the Weir Senior Center, 108 N. Lincoln.
    Blood pressure and blood glucose checks will be done from 11 a.m. to noon.
    A luncheon will be served at noon, with turkey and dressing provided. All those 50 and older may attend and should bring a side dish or dessert. Anyone needing information may call 620-396-8944.
    iCraft
    Pittsburg Public Library will host an iCraft session at 8 p.m. in the meeting room.
    Craft will be creating tags for holiday packages. The library will provide blank tags, ribbon, embelllishments, stamps, inks, tassels and more. Coffee, tea and treats will be served.
    Persons from sixth grade through adult may participate, but the session will be limited to 30 participants. Registrations may be made by calling the library at 231-8110.
    Alzheimer’s series
    The Alzheimer’s Association, Heart of America chapter, will host the third of a six-part family series in Pittsburg. Part Three: “He Just Sits Around All Day” explores the role of activities and structure for persons with Alzheimers and will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Homer Cole Senior Center, 3003 N. Joplin. The sessions are monthly on the second Wednesday of each month. The series is free.

    School skate
    Frontenac school skate will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lowe’s Skateway.
    SEK Interlocal
    SEK Interlocal No. 637 will host its regular board meeting at 6:45 p.m. at the Interlocal office, 400 N. Pine.

    Xi Pi Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi sorority, will meet at 6:30 p.m. at Chatters for dinner and a brief meeting. Co-hostess will be Sandi Morrison.
    Social Committee will discuss plans for the upcoming couples Christmas party.
