    Sunflower Kiwanis
    Sunflower Kiwanis Club will meet at 6:45 a.m. in dePaul Hall, Via Christi Hospital.
    Bob White, program chairman, has invited Cathy White, executive director of the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas, to be the guest speaker.
    Club members are making arrangements to man the Pittsburg Salvation Army red kettle from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday at Ron’s Grocery Store.
    Rotary Club
    Pittsburg Rotary Club will meet at noon in dePaul Hall, Via Christi Hospital.
    Shawn Naccarato and B.J. Harris will present the program on “Growing Together: Our Community, Our Future,” a proposal to grow enrollment at Pittsburg State University, enhance the quality of life in the Pittsburg community and grow the area economy.
    Chuck Peterson will give the invocation, and Mark Werner will be song leader. Sherry Elkins will have introductions, and serving as sergeant at arms will be Jeff Elliott.
    USD 248 Board
    GIRARD - Girard USD 248 Board of Education will meet for a social dinner at 5:45 p.m. Friday and Tuesday at the SSS Steakhouse, 218 S. Summit, Girard. No business will be conducted.
    Business session for a special board meeting will start at 7 p.m. at the board office for the purpose of non-elected personnel on those respective dates.
    School skate
    Arma and Girard will have school skates from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lowe’s Skateway.
    Phi Kappa Chapter
    Members of Phi Kappa Chapter, Phi Tau Omega sorority, are asked to gather at the Frontenac High School cafeteria to prepare potatoes for the Pittsburg area community Thanksgiving dinner.
    Each member should bring 10 pounds of potatoes and her own peeler.
    Scottish Rite
    FORT SCOTT — Coffee and doughnuts will be served at 8 a.m. every Tuesday at the Scottish Rite Center, 110 S. Main, Fort Scott.
    There will be no set agenda or predetermined topic, simply conversation among friends. Everyone is welcome to attend, and need not be Scottish Rite members or Masons. Men attending are welcome to bring their wives or friends.
    ARMA — The ARMA TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter meets at 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays.
    Chapter meetings include private weigh-in, information on good nutrition, educational programs and moral support and encouragement to help members reach their weight loss goals.

    ARMA — Arma American Legion will have bingo night, starting with early bird games at 6:30 p.m. Regular games will follow immediately after the early bird games.
    Elks bingo
    Pittsburg Elks Lodge will host bingo night, open to the public. Doors will open at 5 p.m., with card sales at 5:30 p.m. and mini games at 6 p.m. Regular games begin at 6:30 p.m. Food and beverages will be available.
