William Ray “Bill” Morris, 69,  passed from this life on June 10, 2011 at his home in Haysville, Kansas.


He was born December 29, 1941 at Englevale, Kansas to the union of Bill and Hazel (Dalton) Morris. He attended grade school in rural Crawford County and graduated from Arma High School in Arma, Kansas.


He was inducted into the United States Army where he served from l963 until he was honorable discharged in 1966.


He worked as a house framer and owned his own business until his retirement.


Survivors include wife Minnie of the home, Son Bill, Wichita, Kansas, Step-son Jack (Debbie) Robbins Winfield, Kansas; grandsons Casey (Becky) Robbins and BJ Robbins, all of Haysville, and  Cord Robbins of Arkansas City, Kansas; grandchildren and great-grandchildren;  siblings Helen (Charles) Lane, Derby , Kansas, Sue Zwahlen of Farlington, Kansas, Sandy (Dale) Rekow of Walport, Oregon, Gary (Donnis) Morris of Wichita, Kansas, Lennie (Beth) Duncan of Sulfur Springs, Texas; aunt and uncle Barbara and Karl Wicker of Arma; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.


He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and brother, Bruce Duncan. Two step children, Mary Akers and Butch Robbins, and several aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.


Graveside service was held on Tuesday June l4, 2011 at the Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery in Winfield. Military Honors were conducted by The United States Army of Fort Riley, Ks.
