Girard FFA members traveled to Erie on Friday, Feb. 17, to compete in a Dairy Foods and Meats competition.

Girard FFA members traveled to Erie on Friday, Feb. 17, to compete in a Dairy Foods and Meats competition.

In the Meats division, the A-team placed third with Kenzie Curran placing fourth and Anissa Zagonel, eighth. Other team members were Ben Coomes, James Spieth and Zach Hyman.

The Meats B-team placed second with McKenna Belcher placing first and Kord Curran, tenth. Other team members were Paxton Boore, Ashton McManis, Jayson Rogers and Nikole Kronke.

The Dairy Foods A-team placed sixth. Team members were Briston Kapler, Lauren Davied, Haley DeGarmo, Katie Nepote, Kasie Elder and Levi Karhoff.

The Dairy Foods B-team placed third and consisted of Caleb Eckleberry, Drew Zimmerman, Hannah Jones, Nathan Hughes, Taylor Lewis and Rylee Karhoff. Ms. Karhoff placed in the top ten.

In addition to this competition, FFA members traveled to Fredonia on Feb. 18 to compete in a dodgeball tournament where they placed first overall.

They would also like to thank the members who attended church as a group on Sunday, Feb. 19, and helped decorate hallways at the high school for National FFA Week.
