An Arma man remains at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo., following a one-vehicle accident on Tuesday.
Christopher Stinebaugh, 21, was flown to Freeman by medical helicopter shortly before midnight on Tuesday. According to the Crawford County Sheriff's Department, his injuries were listed as "severe," but his current condition is unknown, as Freeman officials reached Wednesday evening could not comment on his status.
Stinebaugh was driving a 1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse Tuesday eastbound on 570th Avenue "at a high rate of speed," according to an accident report from the sheriff's office. Stinebaugh lost control of the vehicle near the intersection of 570th Avenue and 250th Street before striking a tree.
Nicklas Thompson, 21 of Arcadia, was a passenger in the vehicle. He suffered non-life threatening injuries and was treated at Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center.
