Sunday, August 30

Mt. Hebron Baptist Church
Mt. Hebron Baptist Church will celebrate the third-year anniversary of its pastor, the Rev. LaDonna Scott, beginning with services at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Madline Baxter, Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Baxter Springs, will deliver the message.
Dinner will be served from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Homer Cole Community Center.
Afternoon services will start at 3 p.m. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Gary B. Wilson of the Church of Faith Church, Coffeyville.
All services will be open to the community.

Legion dance
Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 will host a dance, open to the public, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the post home, 2815 N. Joplin. Music will be provided by “Cotton.”
Lounge  will open at 1 p.m.

Revival services
ARCADIA — Revival services will conclude at 10 a.m. at the House of Prayer, 1103 E. 680th Ave., Arcadia.

Church program
“Osage Prairie Revue,” local gospel and bluegrass group, will present an evening of Christian music at 6:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Seventh and Walnut.
Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served at 5:30 p.m.
The evening will be open to the entire community.

Monday, August 31

Frontenac card games
Card games will be played from 1 to 4 p.m. every Monday except holidays at the Frontenac Senior Citizens Building. Primary game is pinochle, but any card game is welcome, and those who wish may bring their own bridge foursome.
Snacks and beverages will be available.  Anyone needing additional information may call 230-0707.
