Pittsburg Public Library Young Adult Department hosts a free public YA program for those in seventh through 12th grades at 4 p.m. every Wednesday.

This week teens are invited to decorate mini pumpkins and watch a classic horror movie on the big screen. All supplies will be provided and refreshments will be served.

Anyone needing additional information may call the PPL Youth Services Department at 231-8110.

Gorilla Toastmasters
Gorilla Toastmasters Club will have an open house from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Names & Numbers, 1225 E. Centennial.

Goal of Toastmasters International is to help members improve their speaking and leadership skills. More than 4 million people around the world have gone through the group since it was started in 1924.

The open house will feature an abbreviated meeting, including speeches from club members, and will offer an opportunity to learn about the professional development opportunities Toastmasters provides. Refreshments will be served.

Those attending use the west entrance. Anyone needing additional information about the open house or Gorilla Toastmasters should contact Dr. Mark Johnson at 235-4628.

Azrim No. 81
Azrim Temple No. 81, Daughters of the Nile, will gather for a stated meeting at 7 p.m. at Mirza Shrine Center. Founders Day will be observed.

The meeting will be hosted by queen Charlotte Eichhorn.

Pittsburg card games
Card games will be played from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. every Wednesday, except holidays, at the Chicopee Community Center, formerly St. Barbara's Catholic Church.

There will be tables for bridge, pitch and skip bo. Any card game is welcome.
