    FRANKLIN — Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will conduct a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Franklin Community Center and Heritage Museum, 701 S. Broadway (Business 69 Highway).

    FRANKLIN — Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will conduct a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Franklin Community Center and Heritage Museum, 701 S. Broadway (Business 69 Highway).
    Free cholesterol screening will be done. Those wishing to give blood should bring their photo identification.
    Kiwanis Club
    Pittsburg Kiwanis Club will meet at noon in dePaul Hall, Via Christi Hospital. Dr. Cynthia Woodburn will present the program on the Mayan calendar.
    Greeter will be Joe Beauchamp, and Devin Gorman will serve as cashier. Kathryn George will give the invocation.
    UMWA
    Local 14, District 12, United Mine Workers of America, will meet at 1 p.m. at the Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 post home, 2815 N. Joplin. All UMWA members may attend.
    Annual dinner meeting will be held at 4 p.m. Aug. 11 at the Mulberry Senior Citizen Building. Reservations should be made by calling John Sarley at 231-2047, Robert Massa at 620-764-3429, Bill Zibert at 620-347-8372, or Calvin Beer at 232-1716.
    Property Owners
    Pittsburg Area Property Owners Association will meet at 7 p.m. in St. Mary’s Colgan Activity Center.
    Senior exercise
    A weekly free senior exercise group will be held at the Homer Cole Community Center, 3003 N. Joplin.
    Sponsored by Girard Medical Center, the session offers simple movements and stretching to help with upper and lower body strength, cardiovascular and overall health.

    Zumba class
    Jessica Wakeman will offer a zumba class from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Homer Cole Community Center, 3003 N. Joplin.

    TOPS KS 0884
    TOPS KS 0884 meets every Thursday at Knights of Columbus Towers, 700 N. Pine.
    Weigh-in will begin at 9 a.m., with the business session following at 9:30 a.m.

    Frontenac bingo
    Frontenac American Legion Post 43 will sponsor bingo from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Frontenac Senior Citizens Center. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
