Pittsburg Public Library Young Adult Department will sponsor a summer reading program for young adults entering seventh through 12th grades.
The program will run June 1 through July 31. Those wishing to take part may sign up in the YA Department and will receive a reading log. They may then check out and read any combination of five books, magazines or audio books from the library.
Participants will turn in their completed reading logs to the department and will be entered into a drawing for an iPod Shuffle to be given away on July 31. In addition, each person who completes the program will receive a free YA book. More than one reading log may be turned in, but only one free book will be given per person.
Participants may also join the library’s “Be Creative @ Your Library” reading program and count the same books.
Anyone needing additional information may call the YA Department at 231-8110 or view the promotional video on the YA page of the library’s web site at www.pittsburgpubliclibrary.org.
