Sunflower Kiwanis

Sunflower Kiwanis Club will meet for breakfast at 6:45 a.m. in dePaul Hall, Via Christi Hospital. A short business session will be conducted by Mike Willis, president.



Carole Robb will introduce the speaker, Lane Lord, head coach of the Pittsburg State University women’s basketball team.

Rotary Club
Pittsburg Rotary Club will meet at noon in dePaul Hall, Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center. The program will be a candidate forum with Julie Menghini and Terry Calloway, candidates for the Third District seat in the Kansas House of Representatives.

Shawn Naccarato will have introductions and give the invocation. Song leader will be Judy Westhoff and Brian Sullivan will serve as sergeant at arms.

Mirza Nobelle
Mirza Nobelles will meet at 11:15 a.m. at the Corner Bistro. Hostess will be Maybelle Mertz, Fort Scott.

Joplin Welcome Club
JOPLIN — Joplin Area Welcome Club will have a luncheon at 11 a.m. at the Joplin Museum Complex. The program will include a scavenger hunt while touring the museum.

The club is open to anyone who is new to the area within the past five years. Those needing additional information may call 417-439-3224.

Mother to Mother
Mother to Mother Ministry will have a reflection meeting at the First Christian Church.

A meal will be served at 5:45 p.m. Dr. Jill Saia-Pile will present a program titled “Reflecting on Dental Health.” Childcare will be provided.

School skate
Arma, McCune, Weir and Girard school skates are scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lowe’s Skateway.

Lions Club
Pittsburg Lions Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the Sheridan Room, Via Christi Medical Center. Bill Gray, president, will preside.

Mike Banta, a past district governor from Coffeyville, will provide a program on the Kansas Lions Sight Foundation.

Music night
Monthly music and dance night will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Homer Cole Community Center.

Music is provided by area and local musicians for listening and dancing. There is a $1 cover charge and refreshments are potluck. Coffee and beverage is included. Anyone needing additional information may call the center at 231-9773.

Chapter AQ, PEO
Chapter AQ, PEO, will meet at the home of Marilyn Peterson. Co-hostesses will be Linda Cofer, Kathleen Sandness, Kim Scripsick and Becky Stahl.

Dessert will be served at noon. Patricia Thomas will give the program “Destination - Bed and Breakfast in Montana and Canada.”

Chapter IO, PEO, will meet at 1 p.m. at 2401 S. Stillwell with Karolyn Bertalotto and Barbara Heck as hostesses.
Program will be “Dear Abby Fun.”

Chapter CP, PEO
Chapter CP, PEO, will meet at 6 p.m. at the home of Nancy Bishop, 1512 Woodland Drive. Co-hostesses will be Brandee Johnson, Dorothy Riggs and Gail Deatherage.

The program will be on the Kansas Mission of Mercy (KMOM) by Gina Pinamonti.

Chapter CJ, PEO
Chapter CJ, PEO, will meet at 6 p.m. at the Pittsburg Public Library with Pat Clement and Kathy Stuckey as hostesses. Co-hostesses will be Grace Powell and Dorothy Baker.

The program, titled “Destination 308 N. Walnut,” will be given by Clement.

Elks bingo
Elks Lodge No. 412 will host bingo at 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday.

Overeaters Anonymous
Overeaters Anonymous will meet at 6 p.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.

Arma bingo
ARMA — Arma American Legion Post 182 will sponsor bingo, open to the public, at the post home.

Tristatesmen Chorus
JOPLIN, Mo. — Tristatesmen Barbershop Chorus welcomes men to join in an old fashioned barbershop sing at 7 p.m. every Tuesday at the First Community Church, 15th and Murphy Blvd., Joplin, Mo.
