Crawford County saw the murders of two people in 2010, as well as the discovery of a body.

Shortly after the turn of the year, police discovered the body of Richard Davis, Mulberry, in a shallow grave northwest of Mulberry. His former roommate, Duane Wahl, Mulberry, had already been charged with first-degree murder in the case. After a series of legal issues, including a competency evaluation, Wahl pleaded guilty to pre-meditated first-degree murder in late October and was sentenced in December to life in prison without the possibility of parole for at least 25 years.

In May, seven people were arrested after the shooting death of Rafael Antonio Baeza Hernandez during an attempted robbery. Since the incident, Crawford County prosecutors have reached a deal with five individuals for testimony against Robert E. Eastman, 26, Weir, and Scott Kelly Miller, 30, Pittsburg.

Last, in late July, county deputies discovered a body near the Oak Hill Trailer Park, and a search of the scene found a methamphetamine lab.

Charles F. Mitchell, 38, Amie Lee Ryburn, 30, both of Pittsburg, were charged with first-degree murder.
