Dr. Chris Ibeh, PSU professor of engineering technology, died at his home on Feb. 8 after a brief illness. A memorial mass will be held for him at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. A reception will follow the mass at Parrot Bey.

Dr. Chris Ibeh, PSU professor of engineering technology, died at his home on Feb. 8 after a brief illness. A memorial mass will be held for him at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. A reception will follow the mass at Parrot Bey.

Dr. Ibeh, a professor in plastics technology, joined the faculty at Pittsburg State in 1990 and was promoted to full professor in 2002. He was well known for his work in the field of nanotechnology and was a prolific author, with more than 50 published works.

Ibeh held bachelor’s and master’s degrees in natural gas engineering from Texas A&I and a doctorate in chemical engineering from Lousiana Tech University. He was a member of Knights of Columbus.
