The Pittsburg State volleyball team fell 25-17, 25-17 and 25-23 to No. 11 Truman on Saturday evening in Kirksville. With the loss the Gorillas fall to 10-17 on teh season and 3-12 in MIAA play.

The Pittsburg State volleyball team fell 25-17, 25-17 and 25-23 to No. 11 Truman on Saturday evening in Kirksville. With the loss the Gorillas fall to 10-17 on teh season and 3-12 in MIAA play.


Corrinne Stringer led the Gorillas with 12 kills. She also had 10 digs on the night. Molly Bergkamp added 11 kills and a team-leading 14 digs. Kelsey Sullivan added 10 kills. Cassie Wilson had 10 digs. The Gorillas had only three team blocks on the night, led by Sullivan and Kirsten Erickson with two each.


Truman's Molly Sinclair led all players with 13 kills, while Kasey Bruno led with 21 digs. Truman had a .367 attack percentage for the night, compared to a .199 for the Gorillas.


Pitt State is now done with road games for the season. The team plays home matches against nationally ranked Emporia State and Washburn next Friday and Saturday.
