    The Homer Cole Community Center, 3003 N. Joplin, will host a caregivers support group at 2 p.m. There will be refreshments and there is no cost. For more information, call Terri Chapman at 417-483-2638.
    PATH
    PATH will host an event from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Friday. The program, “More Plants on Your Holiday Plate,” will be presented by Martha Murphy, K-State Research and Extension Agent. There will be refreshments, door prizes, blood pressure checks, holiday crafts and food sampling. Registration is $1. All area seniors are welcome.
    Senior Citizens
    Pittsburg Senior Citizens Club will meet at 1 p.m. for a presentation on ways to stay fit for the holidays. Members will also discuss the things they are thankful for this holiday season.Anyone needing additional  information about the club may call the Pittsburg Parks and Recreation Department office at 231-8310.
    Museum program
    FRANKLIN - A free public program on robotics will be presented from 3 to 6 p.m.  at the Miners Hall Museum, Franklin.
    There with a special robotics presentation at 4 p.m. by Rod Murphy, Cameron Colllins and a humanoid robot.
    Family games and story readings are planned throughout the afternoon, including GEARS EdS robotics racing, Totally Trebuchet targeting, NAO Humanoid Robotics interaction and more.
    USD 248 Board
    GIRARD - Girard USD 248 Board of Education will meet for a social dinner at 5:45 p.m. Friday and Tuesday at the SSS Steakhouse, 218 S. Summit, Girard.  No business will be conducted.
    Business session for a special board meeting will start at 7 p.m. at the board office for the purpose of non-elected personnel on those respective dates.
    Pittsburg Aglow
    Pittsburg Aglow will have its annual fellowship dinner at 7 p.m. at the Homer Cole Community Center.
    A meal of  soup and chili will be provided by Pittsburg Aglow board membersl. Guest speaker will be Graham Cooke on a DVD from a meeting in Ontario.
    The group normally meets on the third Tuesday of the month, but the meeting date was changed for this month only because of the holidays.
