    The chapter officer team consisted of Kenzie Curran, Haley DeGarmo, Austin Egbert, Briston Kapler, Bethany Schifferdecker and Anissa Zagonel.

  • Members of Girard FFA competed in the Southeast District Leadership School contest at Elk Valley High School Nov. 9.
    The chapter officer team consisted of Kenzie Curran, Haley DeGarmo, Austin Egbert, Briston Kapler, Bethany Schifferdecker and Anissa Zagonel.
    The chapter team placed first out of 14 schools, taking first in FFA information and first in ritual.
    Individually, in chapter FFA information Bethany Schifferdecker placed first; Anissa Zagonel, second; Kenzie Curran and Haley DeGarmo, third; and Austin Egbert, fifth.
    Anissa Zagonel was chosen as Master Vice President, and Kenzie Curran was chosen as Master Secretary in chapter ritual.
    The parliamentary procedure team, consisting of McKenna Belcher, Lauren Davied, Haley DeGarmo, Austin Egbert, Bethany Schifferdecker and Anissa Zagonel, placed first.
    An intermediate team from Girard also participated in the parliamentary procedure contest and placed first.
    The team consisted of Paxton Boore, Tristan Broce, Hannah Jones, Timbrelee McNair, Haley Pitts and James Spieth.
    The intermediate ritual team of Kord Curran, Katie Jahay, Nicole Kroenke, Katie Massa, Faith McClaskey and Latrica Pike placed third.
    Faith McClaskey was chosen as Master Treasurer in intermediate ritual.
    The Greenhand officer team of Max Adams, Samantha Guy, Shayla Johnson, Zeb Miller, Latricia Pike, Katy Pitts, Jaxon Pryor and Drew Zimmerman placed first, taking first in FFA information, first in ritual and second in parliamentary procedure.
    Individually, Jaxon Pryer was chosen as Master President in Greenhand ritual, and Jon Zimmerman and Samantha Guy were first and second on the Greenhand FFA information test.
    “The kids worked really hard to achieve their goals, and I’m very pleased with how it turned out,” advisor Alan Boultinghouse said.
