  • For the ninth consecutive season, Pittsburg State University and Northwest Missouri State University will face one another in a regular season MIAA contest at Arrowhead Stadium, home of the National Football League’s Kansas City Chiefs.
The game, dubbed The Fall Classic at Arrowhead IX, will kick off at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, the final weekend of the 2010 regular season.
Pitt State season ticket holders will be able to purchase tickets for the event beginning Thursday, July 22. Tickets for the event go on sale to the general public on Thursday, Aug. 5.
The annual rivalry almost always has a direct bearing on the conference championship chase as Pitt State and Northwest have combined to win outright or share MIAA titles in 19 of the last 21 seasons (1989-92, 1994-2004, ’06-09).
Either the Gorillas or the Bearcats have represented the MIAA in the NCAA Division II National Championship Game in each of the last six seasons (2004-09) and 11 times in the last 19 years (1991-92, ’95, ’98-99, ’04-09).
Ticket prices are: $20 for adults, $10 for students (high school aged and younger) and for Northwest and Pitt State students with a valid college ID and $25 for club level seating.
Additionally, a $50 ticket package is available for a family of four (two adults/two children).
Additionally, general public ticket sales for the Gorillas’ home opener against Chadron State on Sept. 4 and Pitt State’s Homecoming game against Washburn on Oct. 16 will begin on Thursday, Aug. 5.
For all remaining home games, ticket sales start on Thursday, Aug. 19.
For additional ticket information, contact the Pitt State Ticket Office at (620) 235-4796.
