Dear Editor:

There has been a lot of publicity about granting amnesty to illegal aliens and giving them social security for work done as an illegal alien. I am absolutely opposed to these thoughts and the following poem states my feelings regarding these issues.

Dear Editor:
There has been a lot of publicity about granting amnesty to illegal aliens and giving them social security for work done as an illegal alien. I am absolutely opposed to these thoughts and the following poem states my feelings regarding these issues.

THINGS TO CONSIDER
The highest office in the land
Is held by one who plans
To honor illegal aliens
And grant amnesty to every hand.

If U.S. citizens do an illegal act
The justice system would prevail
And punish them for their fault
Then they would need to pay their bail.

If aliens from other countries
Feel living is better here
Let them get their citizenship
then they would be in the clear.

Aliens with false  I.D.’s
Have worked here illegally
But he still thinks they deserve
What citizens have earned legally.

Our social security is falling behind
Yet he wants the aliens to share
Although they’ve worked illegally
But he plans for it without a care.

Why does he want to treat
The illegal aliens better
Than abiding U.S. citizens
Who have lived by every letter?

Citizens born in the “notch” years
Have waited so very long
They should be granted some help
With a correction for something that’s
wrong.

We need no treaty with Mexico
They only want to reap
What Americans have worked for a lifetime
And hopefully want to keep.
