A McCune woman was injured Thursday after a deer hit her car, causing it to veer off the road and roll over.
Kayla Swisher, 23, McCune, was southbound on 70th Street half a mile south of 570th Street Thursday evening when a deer ran in front of her car. The deer hit the car, causing Swisher to lose control. The car ran off the road into the west ditch, striking a barbed wire fence. The car then rolled, landing on the driver's side in a pasture.
Crawford County EMS and McCune fire crews responded, and Swisher was taken to Via Christi Hospital for her injuries.
Swisher was wearing a seat belt.
