A Pittsburg man was arrested Tuesday night after allegedly damaging several vehicles in north Pittsburg.

A Pittsburg man was arrested Tuesday night after allegedly damaging several vehicles in north Pittsburg.
Tuesday night at 11:44 p.m., officers of the Pittsburg Police Department were called to Holiday Lanes, 2406 N. Broadway, in reference to a male causing damage to vehicles with rocks.
Officers arrived and located three vehicles that were damaged. The suspect left prior to the officers’ arrival and a search of the area was conducted.
An officer located a subject matching the given description of the suspect, which resulted in a foot chase. The officer apprehended the subject, who was identified as Adam Gene Hovis, 20, Pittsburg.
Hovis allegedly broke into and extensively damaged two vehicles on the lot and also caused moderate damage to a third vehicle. The two vehicles broken into had items taken. The items were recovered and returned to the owners. The total damage was estimated at $5,000.
Hovis was transported to the Crawford County Jail and booked in with a $20,000 bond on charges of three counts of felony criminal damage, two counts of burglary, two counts of theft and one count of felony obstruction.
