Fresh Gourmet Tortilla Strips and Wonton Strips

Fresh Gourmet Tortilla Strips and Wonton Strips 3.5 oz. bag, 2 for $3   Spatula Up   Saimi Bergmann: Naked salad? Why? The variety of salad toppings on the market is staggering, from glazed nuts to sesame sticks. The latest in the parade is crispy strips.   I wasn’t impressed with the tortilla strips, which lacked presence. I’d rather crumble my favorite tortilla chip on top of a Mexican salad. But the Garlic Ginger Wonton Strips were wonderful, with a firm yet crisp texture and a nice hit of ginger, garlic and soy sauce. They also work well as topping for stir-fry and wonton soup.   Spatula Up   Jennifer Mastroianni: You can keep your boring garden-variety salad. Give me a chef, Caesar, Southwestern, Asian or BLT salad any day of the week.   Now it’s even easier to make a delicious theme salad, thanks to these tasty and convenient Fresh Gourmet strips. They have just the right amount of flavor -- not too mild, not too intense -- and the crispy crunch is just right.   These two are terrific, and I can’t wait to get my taste buds on the Wasabi Ranch Wonton flavor.                     Canton Repository
