Susan Stewart, Pittsburg, has won two awards  in the recent 2010 International Quilt Association annual judged show “Quilts: A World of Beauty.”

Susan Stewart, Pittsburg, has won two awards  in the recent 2010 International Quilt Association annual judged show “Quilts: A World of Beauty.”

She won the Pfaff Master Award for Machine Artistry with the piece “Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining.” This award is worth $5,000.

Steward also received second place for her piece “Monochrome” in the Computer-Aided Machine Embroidery category. This award was worth $700.

The Pittsburg quilter was among 375 finalists in the competition that attracted 665 entries from around the world. All finalists were on display at the recent International Quilt Festival in Houston, Texas, which attracted more than 60,000 visitors.
