Pittsburg Kiwanis Club will meet at noon in dePaul Hall, Via Christi Hospital. Program will be presented by Don Pyle, Crawford County clerk.

UMWA
Local 14, District 12, United Mine Workers of America, will meet at 1 p.m. at the American Legion Post 64 post home, 2815 N. Joplin.
The meeting will be open to all UMWA members.

Alpha Kappa Chapter
ARMA — Alpha Kappa Chapter, Phi Tau Omega sorority, will have a monthly social at 6 p.m. at the home of Theresa Nesbitt with Nancy Dungan as co-hostess.
Members will have a salad supper and play dubs bridge. Any members not attending the social should contact one of the hostesses.

School skate
Frontenac school skate will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lowe’s Skateway.

Sperry-Galligar Audubon
Sperry-Galligar Audbon will meet at 7 p.m. in room 102, Yates Hall, Pittsburg State University.
Speaker will be Dan Mosier II, fish biology specialist at the Farlington fish hatchery operated by the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks. He received bachelor of science and master of science degrees in field biology from PSU.
He is also an avid apiarist (beekeeper) and will discuss where to get the kinds of equipment and bees needed to start beekeeping, removing, relocating and rescuing bees from locations were they are not wanted, and basic honey bee biology, hive maintenance and other topics relevant to honey bees.
The meeting will be open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

TOPS KS 0884 meets every Thursday at Knights of Columbus Towers, 700 N. Pine.
Weigh-in will begin at 9 a.m., with the business session following at 9:30 a.m.

Frontenac American Legion Post 43 will sponsor bingo from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Frontenac Senior Citizens Center. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
