Having a son at Pitt State, I have visited Pittsburg on three occasions now.

Dear Editor,
Having a son at Pitt State, I have visited Pittsburg on three occasions now. The one thing I learned on the first visit and have had reinforced every other visit is to avoid downtown Pittsburg at all costs. How incredibly frustrating to be sitting at one red light, watch it turn green only to see the traffic light in front of you turn red. Having to stop every or every other block to try and travel Broadway is nothing more than a nuisance. Can anyone imagine that cross town traffic is so heavy in this area that a traffic light is needed on every block? Worst yet, that the traffic is so heavy even at 9:00 p.m. that all traffic lights are still working at that hour? I have seen some nice buildings and might even have stopped at a store or two but I don't travel Broadway anymore.
