  • Freeman Health System welcomes new physicians

  • Henry S. Krueger, MD, JD, MBA, MPH, completed his medical education at University of Texas Health Science Center, Southwestern Medical School, Dallas, Texas; residency in internal medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine, New Orleans, Louisiana; and residency in anesthesiology at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas.

     Amir Anis, MD, joins the medical staff of Freeman Cancer Institute.
    Dr. Anis completed his medical education at Dow Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan, with a residency in internal medicine and fellowship in hematology/oncology at West Virginia University, Morgantown, West Virginia.

     Eileen Deano, MD, joins fellow neonatologist Dr. Michael Porte in the Freeman Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), the only one of its kind in the region.
    Dr. Deano completed her medical education at New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York; residency in pediatrics at Long Island College Hospital/Beth Israel Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York; and fellowship in neonatology at Advocate Lutheran General Children's Hospital, Park Ridge, Illinois.
    Dr. Deano now sees patients as a part of the Freeman NICU team.
     After several years practicing in the Freeman Emergency Room and at Freeman Urgent Care, Stephen Thomas, DO, begins a family practice with Freeman Family Practice Medicine.
    Dr. Thomas, born and raised in Joplin, Missouri, completed his undergraduate degree at MSSU, Joplin, Missouri; medical education at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, Kansas City, Missouri; and residency at Freeman Hospital West, Joplin, Missouri.
    He is board certified in Family Practice Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board. Dr. Thomas is accepting new patients at his office in the Bentlage Building, 3202 McIntosh Circle, Suite 201, Joplin, Missouri.
