Area events for Friday, January 30 

Senior Citizens Club
Senior Citizens Club will meet at 1:30 p.m. in Lincoln Center. Melinda Ewan, assistant administrator of Cornerstone Village, will give a presentation. A business session and bingo will follow.
New members are always welcome. Anyone needing additional information about the club may call the Pittsburg Parks and Recreation Department at 231-8310.

Joplin dance
JOPLIN — Joplin Shrine Club will sponsor a dance, open to the public, from 7 to 10 p.m. at 1040 S. Joplin Ave. Music will be provided by the Bob Russell Band. Food will be available, and doors will open at 5 p.m.
Admission will be $4 per person. Anyone needing additional information may call 417-782-6116.

Legion bingo
Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 will have bingo night, open to the public, at 6:30 p.m. at the post home, 2815 N. Joplin.
Canteen will open at 5:30 p.m. and feature burgers, chicken strips, soup or chili.

‘American Eagle’
Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 will present the band “American Eagle,” appearing for the first time in Pittsburg, from 8 to 11 p.m. at the post home, 2815 N. Joplin.
There will be a $3 cover charge.
