    Zoo visits library


    ARMA — A representative from the Sedgwick County Zoo will be at the Arma City Library from 10 a.m. to noon. The program will be open free to the entire community.

    Zoo visits library
    ARMA — A representative from the Sedgwick County Zoo will be at the Arma City Library from 10 a.m. to noon. The program will be open free to the entire community.
    Kiwanis Club
    Pittsburg Kiwanis Club will meet at noon in dePaul Hall, Via Christi Hospital. Randy Winzer will present a program titled “Adventures in Robotics - 11 Years and Counting.”
    Jack Payne will serve as cashier and Amanda Minton will be greeter. Earl Ward will give the invocation.
    Franklin Farmers Market
    FRANKLIN — Franklin Farmers Market, featuring produce, baked goods and  crafts, will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. every Thursday at the Franklin Community Park, Business 69 Highway, Franklin.
    Featured this week will be new potatoes, green beans, red and green tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, sweet onions, peppers and beets, handmade crafts, homemade jams and jellies and fruit pies, dinner rolls, cookies, nut breads, fried pies and more.

    TOPS KS 0884 meets every Thursday at Knights of Columbus Towers, 700 N. Pine.
    Weigh-in will begin at 9 a.m., with the business session following at 9:30 a.m.

    Frontenac bingo
    Frontenac American Legion Post 43 will sponsor bingo from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Frontenac Senior Citizens Center. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

    TOPS KS 1120 Pittsburg will meet at 4:30 p.m. at the Pittsburg Public Library.
    Mission of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is to support members as they take off and keep off pounds sensibly. The organization offers an Exchange program with no special foods to buy and weekly private weigh-in. Annual membership is $28 for adults 18 and older. Children aged 7 to 17 and spouses of members may join at half price. The first visit is free. Anyone needing additional information may call 620-235-1790.
    Al Anon Family Group
    Hope Abounds Al Anon Family Group meets at 7 p.m. Thursdays at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 306 W. Euclid, Pittsburg.
    Columbus dance
    COLUMBUS — A dance will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. every Thursday at the Cherokee County Hospitality Center, 516 N. Kansas, Columbus.
