Pittsburg remains idle until next Tuesday; the Purple Dragons open SEK play at home against Labette County. Both Columbus and Iola are in their final SEK year — Columbus will be heading for the Crawford-Neosho-Cherokee League and Iola the Pioneer League.

In the CNC, Girard and Southeast have their Homecoming games with Colgan and Frontenac, respectively. The Girard girls (10-3, 1-0 CNC) look for their 47th straight win in league play, against the up-and-coming Panthers (7-3, 1-0) of first-year head coach Abby Farabi. The Southeast girls (9-4, 0-1) face the Raiders of Frontenac (11-1, 0-0) for the second consecutive Friday night; Frontenac defeated Southeast 47-40 last week for the Lancer Classic title.

The Northeast boys (9-3, 3-0 TRL) look to stay on top of the Three Rivers League standings and the Northeast girls (6-6, 2-1) will try and break .500, playing perennial TRL contenders St. Paul tonight.
