Dear Editor
Yes, there is too many fowl at Lakeside Park however that is only one of the many problems at Lakeside Park. No ducks have attack and bitten people at the park but the dogs running wild their have, and they leave their waste all over the park. We have been unable to use the benches at the park because people have left their dirty diapers and baby waste on them. Most weekends the park is covered by waste from the fast food places and the people never bother to place the waste in the trash cans that are provided an it blows into nearby houses yards. You have to wonder if they do this at their homes and at school and have not learned better. The Canadian Geese that fly into and out of the park create a big mess at the park how will these be handled? If 20 or 30 ducks will remain at the park and the building is removed they will have no place to winter and will freeze to death. These are not wild ducks that would be able to fly south for the winter. Feeding is not the problem.
What can we do to help out the park, KEEP IT CLEAN pickup and put in trash containers the throwaway items you bring and find at the park.  Keep the dogs on leashes and pick up their waste. It takes everybody to have a park for all.
