In the Don Gutteridge League, there appears to be a virtual log jam of teams vying for the top seed in the tournament that begins to two weeks.
After Friday night’s win over CCBA, Pinamonti — winners of three straight —  has moved to within a half-game of CCBA for the top spot in the league.
CCBA does still hold the league and division lead with a 6-4 mark but, Pinamonti (6-4) is closing. CCBA has two games remaining next week and Pinamonti has just one.
Millers and Pizza Hut are also close behind, both sporting 5-3-1 marks as Chatters and VFW are both 5-4.
The Elks Athletics are currently holding the best record in the Frank German League with an 8-1-1 mark, but American Division leader the Rotary Red Sox are close behind with an 8-3 mark.
In addition, the Knights of Columbus Cardinals (7-3) and Midwest Mineral Marlins (6-4) are in a tight race for second in their respective divisions.
In the Ted Carnino League, the Unique Metal Fab Red Sox (10-1) have already clinched the National Division and are closing in on the top seed in the tournament but, the Ron’s IGA Royals (9-2) are close behind and have also already clinched the American Division regular season title. The John’s Giants (7-3) are an outside shot to take the No. 2 seed in the tournament with games remaining next week.
The T&C Wildlife Orioles (8-2) have taken a commanding lead in the Machine Pitch League, but the M&I Bank Royals (6-3-1) and the Charles Burt Yankees (6-4) are still in contention with six wins, while the Kiwanis Cardinals (5-5) and Beitzingers Astros (5-5) currently sit with five wins apiece.
