Crawford County Attorney, Michael Gayoso, Jr., formally announced March 10 before a packed house at the Homer Cole Community Center in Pittsburg, KS that he is seeking a second term in office. 

Crawford County Attorney, Michael Gayoso, Jr., formally announced March 10 before a packed house at the Homer Cole Community Center in Pittsburg, KS that he is seeking a second term in office.  

“This is my 4th year serving the citizens of Crawford County and I look forward to my office’s continued efforts in prosecuting crimes and doing my part in making this great County a safer place,” said Gayoso.  

During Gayoso’s first term he has prosecuted or is prosecuting five murder cases along with numerous child abuse and manufacturing methamphetamine cases.  

“My office has worked at developing a close working relationship with our sheriff’s department, KBI, local police and numerous other agencies to provide effective prosecution. My goal as County Attorney is simple--to seek justice in every case.”  
Gayoso has 13 years of criminal law experience, is married and has three children.
