Missouri Western swept an MIAA doubleheader Saturday from Pitt State. The Griffons posted 2-0 and 9-4 triumphs over the Gorillas.

Missouri Western’s Oliver Kadey outdueled Pitt State’s Scott Brady in the opener. Kadey (2-2) tossed a two-hit shutout, while Brady allowed just five hits in six innings of work.

In game two, the Griffons (20-19, 14-18) just out to a 6-1 lead after two innings against the Gorillas (14-26, 13-25 MIAA) and held on to the five-run victory.

Jeremy Graves went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI to pace the Pitt State offense.
The two teams will wrap up their four-game MIAA series with a noon doubleheader today.
