  • Because of an overwhelming response to the annual “Dad and Daughter Date Night” scheduled on Feb. 8, the event will be repeated on Feb. 9, according to Sara Mitchell, Pittsburg Parks and Recreation Department.
“There was such a large waiting list from the Feb. 8 event that we decided we should schedule a second event,” Mitchell said.
Details will be the same for the second date night, which will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at Pittsburg Memorial Auditorium. Theme will be “Under the Sea” and feature dry-land versions of swimming with the dolphins and diving for gold.
Grandfathers, uncles and older brothers may also escort their special little girls to the event.
Cost will be $15 per couple, and $7 for each additional child. Registrations may be made by calling the Parks and Recreation office at 231-8310.
