  • A three-car accident on Wednesday blocked traffic at a major intersection, flipped one car on its top and left one man injured.
Officers received a call at 1:41 p.m or an accident at Fourth and Joplin streets. Upon arrival, responders found three cars involved in an accident.
All three drivers were found alert, but one, Jonathan Hagins, 26, of Pittsburg, was taken to Via Christi Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  Drivers in the other two vehicles were uninjured.
After an investigation, officers determined that Vehicle 2 and Vehicle 3 were stopped at the light headed southbound on Joplin St.  The car driven by Hagins (Vehicle 1) hit Vehicle 2 in the rear, causing Vehicle 2 to hit the third vehicle and also to flip over.
Vehicles 1 and 2 had to be towed from the scene, while Vehicle 3 was able to be driven off under its own power.
The drivers of both Vehicle 2 and 3 were wearing their seat belts and were uninjured. No information was provided about the seat belt status of Hagins.
