CLASS LTD and the Foundation for CLASS, Inc., will host the 24th annual Southeast Kansas Holiday Ball and Auction Nov. 19 at Pittsburg Memorial Auditorium.

The ball and auction is a charitable event to benefit those in southeast Kansas with developmental disabilities through the Foundation for CLASS, Inc.
Theme will be “Jingle Bell Ball.” As guests arrive they will be greeted with holiday songs performed by the CLASS Choir. A social hour of beverages and hors d’oeuvres will begin at 6 p.m., with dinner served at 7 p.m. by Chatter’s Grill Catering.

The evening will also feature live entertainment and live and silent auctions with highlighted items including themed Christmas trees.

“Support for this event by individuals, organizations and businesses within our community over the years has been just wonderful,” said Debbie Jones, CLASS LTD vice president for development. “This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and every bit of the money raised stays in southeast Kansas.”

She said that the 2010 SEK Holiday Ball and Auction brought in approximately $20,000.

“This helped many individuals who receive services from CLASS LTD obtain the things they need to live happy, healthy and productive lives,” Jones said.

Reservations are required, and advance tickets for the event are $65 per person. Tickets may be reserved by calling the CLASS LTD administrative office at 1-800-479-0259. A portion of the ticket price and all donations are tax-deductible contributions to the Foundation for CLASS, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.
CLASS LTD is a not-for-profit organization providing services for persons with intellectual and other developmental disabilities throughout southeast Kansas.  Dedicated to the belief that each individual has the ability to live a rewarding, fulfilling and meaningful life, CLASS LTD has offices in Columbus, Pittsburg, Parsons, Coffeyville and Independence.
