A city man is being sought as a murder suspect in the Nov. 21 shooting death of James Madonna in the Myles Standish Industrial Park.

Timothy J. Cassidy, 38, last known address 305 Shagbark Road, was named as the prime suspect in a warrant issued Monday by the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.

The charge of murder comes five days after Madonna, 44, formerly of 46 Hodges St., was found shortly after noon shot to death in his Jeep SUV in the parking lot of an empty building within the 800-plus-acre industrial park.

Cassidy is described as white, 5’11” and weighing approximately 220 pounds.

He was last seen operating a 2005 Toyota Camry with registration 12TP32.

He is known to have had personal connections with people, not only living in Taunton, but also in Easton, Waltham, Weymouth, Norwell, Braintree, Revere, Rockland and Starks, Maine.

Cassidy has also had dealings in other states including Texas and Georgia, the DA’s Office said.

Cassidy is considered armed and dangerous.
