Agnes Velda Fritts, 94 of Pittsburg, KS died at 4:35pm, Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at the Golden Living Center in Pittsburg, KS.
Agnes was born December 31, 1913 in Mulberry, KS to Edmund H. and Anna Marie (Thomas) Fritts. She attended area schools, graduating from Mulberry High School.  She attended Kansas State Teachers College, (known today as PSU), for a couple of years.
Agnes was a teletype setter for the Morning Sun Newspaper for 32 years, retiring in 1975.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Pittsburg, KS.
Agnes was a 50 years member of the Order of Eastern Star; was past matron of Rob Morris Chapter, Mithra Court of Amaranth, A.A.R.P. and the Senior Citizens.
Agnes is survived by her niece Eloise Thornton of Frontenac, KS; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews and numerous great great-nieces and great great-nephews and several great great-great nieces and great great-great nephews.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, two infant sister and infant brother; twin sister Velva Hopkins, sisters Ruthajean Autem and Margaret Parsons and brother Walter Fritts.
Funeral services will be 10:30am, Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway in Pittsburg with Rev. Kevin Arensman officiating. Burial will follow in Rosebank Cemetery in Mulberry, KS. Informal visitation will be Friday from 5pm until 8pm at the funeral home. E-mail condolences may be left at our website www.bathnaylor.com.
